Nashville in the Carolinas

Nashville in the Carolinas is a premier singing competition open to participants aged 13 and older. The grand prize winner, along with a first and second runner up, will receive cash awards along with additional prizes to be announced.

Auditions

Auditions took place in cities across North Carolina and South Carolina.  For inquiries, please email connectionsmt@aol.com.

Top 20 will be announced on May 7th.

The top 20 contestants will compete at the Drendel Auditorium (SALT Block) in Hickory, NC, on May 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM, where a panel of music industry professionals will judge the final performances.

Biography of Joey Vang

Joey Vang is a singer/ songwriter from Western North Carolina.

Joey and his family are from Thailand. He spends his free time playing live music for his communities. He developed a passion for expressing himself through music. Joey has officially released his first single “Peace of Mind”, available on all music platforms.

Some artists that inspire him include Johnny Cash, Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Tracy Chapman and little Hank Williams Sr.

Biography of Enoc Peña Solis

Enoc is a talented singer-songwriter from Tonalá, Chiapas. He is 19 years old and is recognized for his musical versatility and authentic style. A multi-purpose artist, he has explored a wide range of genres, from regional Mexican to electrocorridos, standing out for his ability to compose songs in different styles with great sensitivity and creativity.

His artistic career began at 9 years old, singing at family parties, where he gradually gained a place on larger stages and at more important events. His love for music runs through his veins: both his maternal and paternal families have a long musical tradition that dates back to his great-grandparents. Music has always held an essential place in his life, and it was in this environment that his passion for art was born.

Throughout his training, Enoc has prepared himself both as a singer and a composer, taking composition classes with leading figures in music, such as maestro Armando Manzanero, which strengthened his technique and artistic sensitivity. He has also participated in auditions for nationally recognized reality shows, which has allowed him to showcase his talent to wider audiences.

His career has led him to interact and collaborate with prominent figures in the music industry such as Banda La Ejecutiva de Mazatlán, Julión Álvarez, and Paquita la del Barrio, among others. Artista todo terreno, ha incursionado en una amplia gama de géneros, desde el regional mexicano hasta los electrocorridos, destacando por su habilidad para componer canciones en distintos estilos con gran sensibilidad y creatividad.

Su carrera artística comenzó a los 9 años, cantando en fiestas familiares, donde poco a poco fue ganando un lugar en escenarios más grandes y en eventos de mayor relevancia.
