What’s Happening with the HIC?

The Hickory International Council publicizes programs on the Events Calendar (menu above). Many HIC programs are realized in collaboration with local, regional and national partners including the Hickory Museum of Art, the Hickory Public Library System, Footcandle Film Society, Boy Scouts Association of America, Catawba Valley Community College, Lenoir-Rhyne University and nationally, Active Voice and American Documentary Community Events (POV).

The 2012 Calendar is updated periodically. Check for dates, locations, and descriptions of HIC events.

• HIC  MEETINGS  (monthly meeting to conduct business; the public is welcome to attend)

• INTERNATIONAL  SOCIAL HOUR ( multicultural meet-and-greet prior to HIC meetings)  

• COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS  (concerts, films, exhibits and workshops for children and adults)

• COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS (Great Decisions, outreach activities)

•  PANGEA MODEL UN CONFERENCE (United Nations simulation for high school students)

• INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS  (Spring Fest and Folkmoot)
