DESCRIPTION:The inaugural Hickory Literary Festival will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the SALT Block. Hosted by Hickory Public Library, this free community festival is designed for all ages to celebrate reading, books, and creativity.\nThe festival will offer a variety of vendors, activities, writing workshops, author talks, and entertainment at different locations across the SALT Block.\nThe headline event of the festival will feature musician and children’s author Lucky Diaz. Diaz is a bilingual, songwriting, taco-eating, multi–Latin Grammy Award–winning and six-time Emmy–nominated musician, children’s television personality, and author. His picture book “La Guitarrista” is the featured title for Lenoir-Rhyne University’s The Little Read this year.\n
