DESCRIPTION:The Green Room Community Theatre will present “Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy” with performances beginning on Friday.\n\n“Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy” is written by Sheri and Bill Steinkellner, music by Alan Menken, and lyrics by Glenn Slater. The musical is based off the 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg. The play tells the story of disco club singer Deloris Van Cartier in the late 1970s, who is placed in protective custody in a dying convent.\nPerformances are scheduled for Friday through May 19 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. On Fridays and Saturdays, the performances will be at 7:30 p.m. On Sundays, the performances will be at 3 p.m.\nTickets are available online at thegreenroomtheatre.org ( http://thegreenroomtheatre.org/ ) or by calling the box office at 828-4646128. Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, $14 for students and $8 for children 12 and younger.\n
